Road Trip To Redmond

I do believe this is Bucket List number six. I have an awesome friend named Mason that I love. Every year, we make it a habit to hang out at least once during the summer. It used to be when my dad had a conference in Seaside-- where she used to live-- that I would just stay there and we would hang out for a bit. Last year she moved to Redmond, so we have to go a little more out of our way to get together. Nevertheless, faithfully, for the past three summers, we have found a way to get together and become better friends. This year has been no exception.
The three hour drive started with a prayer and a bit of spazzyness. We were heading to Mt. Hood, the designated meeting spot. We sang songs, read books, and entertained ourselves in a very "Hess" style. As we arrived we saw vultures and beautiful rivers and TONS of town I didn't even know existed.
We called them and hung up, sent them texts that came with no reply. As we got to the campsite, we didn't know where exactly we would be heading. Finally, we called and we got that all squared away. When we met we hugged and freaked as most teenage girls do. I said my good byes to my three little obnoxious brothers and sister, and gave my mom a hug and kiss. Mason and I were on our way to Redmond.
The View was AMAZING:

1 Down Lots More to Go!

The Bucket List so far goes like this:
  1. Jump on the trampoline in the rain.
  2. Take pictures in front of the "Good Prebyterian" sign.
  3. Dance on the beach with the boy of my dreams. :D :D
  4. Take pictures with friends in front of the Portland LDS Temple.
  5. Perform the piano song I wrote in front of a bigger crowd than my family.
  6. Be part of a ROAD TRIP to Redmond.
  7. Earn $100
  8. Sell my first item on Ebay.
  9. Cut and give away my hair to the less fortunate.
  10. Sleep one night on the trampoline.
  11. Make an Aloha high school soccer team.
  12. Begin to learn French.
  13. Give a talk.
SO! This afternoon, about 4:30-ish, we got some rain. YAY! My little brother Brevingot the camera and we got some shots of me and Teagen jumping.

You can hear the rain as we jump. I got SO wet.

That was SO fun! We jumped and jumped until our feet were numb and our hair was dripping.
YEAH HOO! :D

Fun With Hair and Younger Brothers (#14)

My mom decided that today we would head to Chehalem elementary school and get the free lunch. After getting everyone ready, she realized that my dad had taken the "Beast" and gone to high adventure to be with the boys. The only thing we could do was walk or not go. My three younger brothers--Brevin, Aedan, Teagen-- my mom, Lolli and I all started the two mile trek.
We had lunch, played on the playground, and then walked the two miles back. WOOH! All the way we talked about what we would do when we got out of the hot sun and into the house. Ice cold water, sprinkler, naps, were all capital ideas. Then the idea of #14 came into my mind... HAIR!! They all had long-ish hair for Mormon boys, and this would cause them to have to spray their sweaty heads, so WHY NOT??
I looked in the hair doing stuff when we got home. I found pink and green hair spray as well as normal hair spray and gel. This was going to be good times.

Brevin:
Brevin felt like having a mohawk. It was both green and pink. I think I did the best on his hair because it was by far the most cooperative... :D

Aedan:
Aedan wanted a front spike that was all green. I thought of the Hulk as I did this to my little brother.

 Teagen:
Teagen decided to have "Spikely" hair and have it pink... THAT'S MY BRO!!

This was SO fun!! It was like have in my own little adolescent salon! Here is all of them together...

Lolli saw that her brothers were doing it, so she wanted her hair done too. Unfortunately, nap time was close, so no hair dye for her. But she sure can pull off the Malfoy look. :)

It was decided Brevin in the middle because he had two colors. Teagen and Aedan on either side, due to their colors.

Here is the boys--and Lolli--, standing at attention. Well, Teagen is. We decided that kneeling would make the height a little more even.
Showing off their hair! :D :D

Bright Ideas From Megan :)

Megan has given me a wonderful idea. She has said that French would be an awesome part of the Bucket List. It's funny, because I will be starting French in high school. With your help Megan, I will get an A in that class, if you will help... :) Talks are always fun to give, so that will just be number thirteen.I have been given the oppurtunity to give a talk in church on Sunday June 24. I figure that the talk might be good since it is lucky number thirteen on he list. Be sure to send me more ideas. Love, DJ

New Ideas!

Okay! So... I have been thinking a lot about all the ideas I haven't but should come up with. I have come up with a few more.
  1. Sleep one night in the trampoline.                                                 The reason is... It just sounds fun! The first night we had it, we were going to, but the weather held us back. This time, I am going to be more prepared. I will look up the weather before hand and make sure that everything is in order before the adventure.
  2. Make an Aloha soccer team. (Varsity, JV or JV2)                         My older sister made the JV2 team when she was a freshman. I understand that they cut that team, so I don't think that is an option. It makes competition rougher, but the reward even sweeter.
If YOU have any ideas, I am open to suggestions. :)

Ready to Start Summer!

I have wanted to do a summer bucket list. Since I will be starting high school this coming September, I figured, what a perfect time to start.
Over the summer I will be doing tons of things I have always wanted to do. Such as:
  1. Jumping on a trampoline in the middle of a rain storm.
  2. Taking a picture in front of the "Good Prebyterian Church" sign.
  3. Dancing on the beach with the boy of my dreams. :D
  4. Taking pictures in front of the Portland LDS Temple.
  5. Performing the piano song I wrote to a bigger crowd than my family.
  6. Participating in a ROAD TRIP to Redmond.
  7. Earning $100.
  8. Selling my first item on Ebay.
  9. Giving my hair to Locks of Love.
Some of these might sound lame, but I don't think so. As I come up with more ideas, I will take pictures and post them. Hope you enjoy reading this!
